Terms of Service

By using the Portless service ("Service") operated by CRBL Technologies, LLC ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Description of Service
Portless provides public HTTPS tunnel connections to self-hosted services. While designed primarily for Plex Media Server, the Service may be used to route traffic to other HTTP-based applications running on your local network.
2. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must NOT use the Service to:
- Distribute, store, or stream illegal content of any kind, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that violates applicable law
- Infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights
- Distribute malware, conduct phishing, or engage in any form of cyberattack
- Harass, threaten, or harm any individual or group
- Circumvent legal restrictions or sanctions
- Engage in any activity that violates applicable local, national, or international law
We reserve the right to immediately terminate your access and report suspected illegal activity to the appropriate law enforcement authorities.
3. Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for all content served through your tunnel. We do not monitor, control, or endorse content passing through the Service. We may investigate and act on reports of abuse or illegal content.
4. Account and Tokens
Each account may claim one subdomain and may issue one active daemon token at a time. You are responsible for keeping your daemon token secure. We are not responsible for unauthorized use of your token.
5. Service Availability
The Service is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee uptime, availability, or performance. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice.
6. Plans and Billing
Portless offers a Pro subscription through Stripe. Pro includes 2 TB of transfer per monthly quota period. If you exceed that quota, Portless may stop forwarding tunnel traffic until the next quota reset.
No paid subscription begins unless you expressly choose a paid plan in Stripe Checkout. Prices are tax-exclusive, and Stripe calculates applicable taxes during checkout.
- Automatic renewal — subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
- Trial — the Pro trial lasts 7 days and requires a card up front. Cancelling during the trial keeps access until the trial ends.
- Cancellation — voluntary cancellation is handled through the Stripe Billing Portal and keeps access until the end of the current paid period.
- Failed payment — if Stripe marks a subscription past due or unpaid, Portless may remove paid tunnel entitlement immediately.
- Refunds — refunds are handled case by case. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact [email protected].
- Price changes — we may adjust pricing with at least 30 days' written notice for existing subscribers.
7. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL CRBL TECHNOLOGIES, LLC, ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES RESULTING FROM:
- Your use of or inability to use the Service
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers or any personal information stored therein
- Any content transmitted through the Service
- Any interruption or cessation of the Service
OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CRBL Technologies, LLC and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
11. Reporting Abuse
If you become aware of any illegal content or activity served through Portless, please report it to [email protected]. See our Abuse Policy for details.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
